The Attleboro Arts Museum’s annual High Art exhibition includes art from classes of high school students working collaboratively and creating an original installation, this year’s participants will be “Blurring the Lines”. Crossing the line, enemy lines, bloodlines, age lines, reading between the lines, and drawing the line are just a few directions that the students will investigate.

India American Experience: The Work of Photographer Mahendra Paul
along with The Art of the Sari
A performance of classical Indian music and dance will take place on June 11.
The museum will conclude its events on June 16 with a creative Sari demonstration.
The Museum’s India American Experience exhibition is part of a 5 month-long “Becoming American” reading/multimedia Attleboro-wide program coordinated by Attleboro’s 1ABC (1 Adventure, 1 Book, 1 Community). Each month will feature a book, a film, discussions and a main event based on the immigrants experiences from five chosen groups.
June will spotlight the India American experience. Sponsored by the India Association of Rhode Island (IARI), the community will be encouraged to read “Interpreter of Maladies” by Jhumpa Lahiri. This short story collection, which won the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, includes stories about the lives of India born and India Americans who are caught between the culture they have inherited and the New World.

This annual TRWA canoe and camping trip starts on the Town River, goes on to a cookout,
