Father’s Day Road Race
Location: Begins at Hastings Middle School, 30 School Street,
Fairhaven
Description: The 31st annual running of a 6.2 mile, TAC
sanctioned course through the lovely, historical Fairhaven
streets features 600-700 runners, including some of New England
top runners. Sponsored by Fairhaven merchants. Entry fee for

Father's Day Road Race
Location: Children's Museum in Easton, 9 Sullivan Avenue,
Easton, MA
Description: Start Father’s Day off on the right foot by joining
The Children’s Museum in Easton’s 14th annual 5 Mile Road Race
and 2 Mile Fun Walk. Whether you walk or run the picturesque
course, you will be eligible for many great prizes. All
participants will receive a goody bag and will be entered into
many exciting raffles. After the race stay and enjoy lots of
free food, music, awards and fun at the post-event party.
Childcare will be provided for pre-registrants and the first 250
registrants will be given a free t-shirt. All proceeds benefit
the Children Museum in Easton, a non-profit organization where
children and parents to learn, explore, and tap into hidden
creativity. Whether you choose to walk or run, the course takes
you through a scenic gently looping course that is mostly flat
with a few rolling hills. The course takes you through beautiful
tree-lined streets of the historic North Easton Village and
around the picturesque Ames Long Pond. The finish line is at the
Children's Museum where a post event party will take place.

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY: RELAY FOR LIFE OF GREATER NEW BEDFORD
Location: New Bedford High School
Walsh Field
Description: Annually, “Relay For Life” is the American Cancer
Society’s signature event, taking place in over 3,800
communities nationwide. This poignant event not only raises
awareness, it also serves as a celebration for cancer survivors,
a memorial for loved ones and a rally for the entire community.
Teams camp out around a track overnight and take turns walking,
enjoying entertainment and camaraderie. All survivors and the
public are invited to attend. 6pm Friday to 3pm Saturday.

14th Annual Walk On AIDS
Location: Fort Taber Park, New Bedford
Description: Numerous local, non-profit agencies, organizations,
participate in the Walk. Walkers designate on their pledge
sheets who will receive (100%)of the pledge money raised.
The Walk is 5 miles around Ft. Taber and along the beach.
Bottled water is provided at the onset of the Walk. Beverages &
Food are provided upon return to the park. It's a time of music,
fun, (exercise) and most importantly, all the "local"
agencies/organizations taking part in this Walk, benefit from
this event. Pledge sheets become available approximately 5-6
